My son has got nits.
So as you would, with his head wrapped in a towel like a turban, conversation at the dinner table turned to religion 😉
“Can I take this off now?” He asked with it slightly hanging over one eye.
“Not yet. 20 minutes more.” My wife replied.
“Just imagine wearing one of those all the time. Some people have to wear a turban for their religion…” My wife said, taking any opportunity to educate him about the world he’s going to grow up in.
“…Sikhs wear them to cover their long hair.” I chipped in continuing with the lesson.
It’s one of the pitfalls of being the child of two teachers, everything is a lesson.
Later at book time conversation again turned to religion. This time
