Serpentini Pasta & Pesto.

My wife made a beautiful salad to go with the pasta, which had rocket, spinach, spring onions, walnuts, sunflower seeds, chervil, red lettuce, free-range hard boiled eggs, cucumber, cherry tomatoes & the last bit of the organic lettuce my friend Gill gave me.

Unfortunately it’s not in the the picture because the hard boiled eggs weren’t finish so we started on the pasta and had the salad as a second plate.

As we were taking out the plates my wife showed me something left on my son’s plate.

“What is it?” I asked.

“It’s a slug…and it’s still alive.” She replied.

It had obviously been in Zephy’s salad without him knowing.

“Well, you always get something extra when you eat organic.” 😉

She set the slug free in the bushes.
