Painted Hard Boiled Eggs.

Monday 25th April 2011

We coloured these to do our annual Easter egg-rolling competition. We were introduced to it by, our friend, Tamsin and her family.

We sat out on the patio and painted our eggs together in the afternoon sun. My wife was inspired by the spring flowers around us, I went for the bald Italian waiter and Zephy painted Leonel Messi…of course. Everything he does involves the football player in some way or another. He plays for Barcelona FC my son’s team.

Once painted we went to the hill.

“First one to the bottom is the winner.” Pronounced Zephy.

“Ready…steady…go…” He shouted.

Mummy won.

“Best of three.” He quickly revised.

After the race was eventually won by my son, we ate our battered eggs.

Happy Easter.

Wow, these are very fancy eggs! Usually we just dye our eggs using a solid color. We might have to take your approach next year! 🙂
